Dreams Just Dream, Life Just Suffers

Dreams Just Dream, Life Just Suffers

A Poem by Sweet & Tender Hooligan
"

The 2000's need a Revolution. We need something fresh to wake this generation up! We need something unique but with the spirit of '68, '77 and '86. In culture, music, politics & everything.

"
 Go outside. Find yourself inside,
escape and discover yourself captive.
Wake up, wake up, your still asleep.
Don't die. Don't die,
keep the spirit of '68, '77 and '86 alive.
Brave kids don't run, brave kids live
but to live you have too doubt.

I dreamt, I dream answers.
Some people dream of winning money;
of sex with whatever celebrity,
or of being a rock star or something.
 I dream of revolution.
It's just something real,
like a dream of a thousand years in the future.

Sadly dreams don't explain anything,
sadly dreams don't change anything.
Tragically life is full of unexpressed feelings,
tragically dreams are just dreams, that just break your heart.

This poem is really inspirational, which is what makes it good. It truly is time for a revolution. The first stanza was especially good -- just the rhythm throughout that stanza and the word choice helped with it. You didn't really use fancy vocab, but just the way you said things made it great. I really like this poem -- going in my library. Nice job.

I dream of revolution as well. If we all speak out we shall start the revolution.

We certainly do love! We need to stand up, out of the shadows, fight back with peace and knowledge of what oppresses us!
Great work, love it!
Inspiring!

And live we shall, as writers revolution is always buzzing beneath our twitching fingertips, ready to spread. I love the way this reads, it's certainly going in my favorites.
