Hell Loves Me

Hell Loves Me

A Poem by Sweet & Tender Hooligan
"

This is how it feels in hell. Though we all know how it feels. Life is hell, love is hell, it's all hell... oh hell. <3 Stephen Hawking. Richey James Edwards, Suede & Ride <3

"
Life is hell after hell
Whatever makes you happy,
Whatever makes it better.
We'll laugh the winter away
To feel warm beside one another,
Only to feel cold inside.

Every Monday morning looms heavier,
Sadder than it looks we're all tortured.
Young mums scream at one another to feel alive,
No time to exist 9 to 5ers and school kids rush after their time.
Half asleep and still dreaming about when the clock is off.
Job seekers and soul seekers flood the towns,
Kids on the street at all hours passing time.
Life is just one hell after a hell,
You can't always get what you want.
In your cruel eyes all the streets,
Reach the end of the road.

Hell loves us all we all know how it feels
We all achieve nothing, life shouldn't be shared.
There isn't enough time to prove our love.
He gets lovelier and lovelier all the time,
She gets sweeter as dreams evaporate.
We're all intrinsically destructive, letting go is hard.

first~ your poetic is a powerful and thoughtful grip of hands on the generic view~ turning it to observe removed from the center of the somnambulating human species~ an outsider view is always more clear than one immersed in the flock vision~
and yes~ you're right~ as a whole humanity has predominantly behaved very badly~ strung up on its own noose it runs about killing and raping and maiming and using~ it would appear that at the root code that propels mankind is this phenomenally painful reality "if man can't own it or subdue it he will destroy it"
in the name of gods in the name of pride in the name of the almighty greenback paper that drives modern day society right to its knees~
but . . . .
there is an undercurrent of light . . . .where some humans have actually come to the realization that it's all about choice~ and that the clay of reality is theirs to mold~
in other words~ as cynical as I am~ as disgusted as I am with humanity overall~ even I will admit to seeing firefly sparks of hope alighting here and there~

First of all, that title is so alluring it's sexy. I had to read this... And I was not dissapointed. The message this conveys is nothing short of a misanthropic dream we have all tried so hard to believe was nothing but a such...

This is powerful the human race has created life in our own image. There is no doubt to that there are many ways that have been created at that. Can we say which one of them is write or which god there is has the right meanings? I for one say my god is right but that is how i was brought up I am open though to listen to others side of the story. So we must not be completely biased in life. I am not on the topic of humanity. But in truth everything we live through is some sort of hell even the good things. :)

So very true. All we really know how to do is make things worse and worse. I loved the first stanza. Very insightful.
