Transitory Love Endured (Arbitrarily Trapped)A Poem by Sweet & Tender HooliganThe people that are there just want to perpetually take your culture away. And the people not there want to arbitrary take your mind. Painting by Shirley Ardell Mason.Cloudless skies overhead hold in their tears. Braverly stepping out of the rules. Cowards can't avoid shadows, Coming to life only when everyone else are dead or sleeping. Too much on my mind to allow me to find my dreams. Alone still but sadly alive. The sky gives the impression of escape. Parents perpetually live our lives for us because we took theirs; Friends cravingly make you wish you were someone else, don't follow them. Teachers constantly make you feel like you're not there, uniqueness not allowed. Girlfriends continually want to take over your life and trap your dreams. Psychiatrists arbitrary tie your wrists together and sever creativity. Some things take so long. How am I going to get there? It's such a waste how we take one another's dreams And break one another's hearts. Destroyed but not beaten, Traps and battles shape love. The heart endures what the eye doesn't see. Alone and alive, together and silent. Depression scratches the surface of what's unclear.
