The Rain Whispers, I'm Not Me I'm You

The Rain Whispers, I'm Not Me I'm You

A Poem by Sweet & Tender Hooligan
"

A mix of Joy Division & the despair of the way thing's are and are not.

"
A coat of despair housed in affection.
Petals open up, escape and wish to be back as a bud.
When things were simpler, simple things felt like the end of the world
But could be rescued by the tenderest of embraces.

Take care of me. Kill yourself. Destroy the world.
Take care of the children, take care of yourself .
Take care of someone else. Destroy the heart.

Distance shelters us and eats away time but you can't escape your shadow.
You came from my shadow; you came from the mist, you came from despair.
And you wrapped me up in silly faces and puddles, by becoming my den.
Feeling is dust, attachment is blind but belonging is a must.

We're for each other the same way rain falls onto the earth.
We're not born for each other unlike flowers and bees,
We're for each other the same way eyes gaze up at the stars.

Rain whispers, "I'm not me; I'm you. Let me be with you. Let me be me."
Flowered from grief and ruins unable to cry over time
Rain falls tenderly, leaves fall suicidal, all things fall hard
Too many tears cry, "I'm not alone when I'm with you.
Yet I'm more alone when unalone. I'm you, not me."

Life outside my window doesn't know that I am alive.
Everyone's alone like rain. All is emptiness. Everyone's alone.
We shatter like tears, broken soul, bits of everyone we love are our love.
Functions and reactions are blindly bonded. Risen it all falls apart.
Drowned hearts in disillusion, fragiley connect before the tender end.
It's all a bitter start.

Beautifully amazing, and I love the use of rain. Rain is a universal element that seems to be connected with all of life, and writing. I absolutely love the reference to the stars. Lovely write.

I so beautiful, the juxtaposition is fantastic and makes it even more emotional!
"We're for each other the same way rain falls onto the earth." simple but straight to the point.

This poem has one of the most technical and brilliantly fascinating structures.
The flow is superb, the poem's got inspiration. A trait not found in every other write.
I loved this, hope to hear more from you.
A 100/100.

Sadly beautiful, compose perfectly to
ponder life’s greatest melancholy: solitude!
A well written score…Nicely done…

I love this line "Distance shelters us and eats away time but you can't escape your shadow." So good, so good. Your metaphors and imagery make me jealous. This piece is so tragic, striking such a deep chord in the reader. Bravo. All the statements like "Life outside my window doesn't know that I am alive." Perfection.

Only you could paint despair with such beauty. I being a sucker for repetetion loved the lines of "Take care of me. Kill yourself. Destroy the world. /Take care of the children, take care of yourself . /Take care of someone else. Destroy the heart. "
It was like being thrust into a gloomy day, watching the rain roll down the window pane while waiting for a rainbow.
