Beautiful Lies, Ugly Truth

Beautiful Lies, Ugly Truth

A Poem by Sweet & Tender Hooligan
"

George Orwell Quote: In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act. Image: Edvard Munch

"
Let the wind wipe away your tears.
The sickening rain will weaken you
But it won't dampen your spirit.

You killed my world
and I killed my mind.
What's right,
What's wrong?
Clearly there's only one way of finding out,
That's by jumping into the world blindly.

Don't allow media's beautiful lies to cut your eyes.
The disheartening ugly truth of reality, will strengthen you
But it won't make the world any fairer.

Beautiful lies and ugly truth surround us. They breed as we feed. "Jumping into the world blindly" mirrors reality. Great write.
