Hugs & Kisses

Another early poem written in 2006. "....I'm in a state of chaos I can't describe...." This is a poem inspired by relationships; love, family, friendship, child abuse and dreams. Personal & Universal.

In the remaining light that is left,
The earth keeps spinning me away from you.
Seems I know just what to say
To bring the rain clouds back.
Seems I know just what to do
To feel cold. Thousands of loveless couples,

Drowning in the sea of things that are not there.
Long gone are the days, 
When our pain could be simply kissed away.

This is a dream poem disorientated,
To shy;
Too sad,
Too slow;
Too sick,
Too stupid.
Too shy to pickup a girl,
Too sad to scream.
Too slow to run away,
Too sick to work
And too stupid to interpret silent cries.
This is a dream invaded by an army of nightmares,
It's much too much.

I'm in a state of chaos I can't describe
Thousands of hugs and kisses deep,
I'm in as deep as a divorce.
Deeper still than love and deaths
I'm in as deep as a fight,
Deeper still than a mass grave.
I'm in as deep as all of these wounds put together
And deeper still are my screams.
More and more I sink deeper,
Into love without a manual or safety armbands.
Gone are the days when a kiss or a hug could repair the world,
Never been loved unconditionally since and now I'm drowning in love.
