Watery Lies

Watery Lies

A Poem by Drow

I think back and it haunts me,
I ignore it and it follows me,
I despise it and it traps me,
No matter where I look,
No matter where I turn,
The time eerily flows,
It's there.

The memories dance upon the shimmering surface,
Tell me why,
Tell me how,
Just answer me truly.

"I despise it and it traps me"

I like that line! Funny how the things that we despise
the most, stay trapped inside for what seems like ever.

I've enjoyed the read, thank you.

Very nice, keeping it short was probably a good idea. I think we all have those unsaid regrets that follow us around day by day. Truthfully, it's the nice average memories that we forget, while we keep the ghosts that haunt us all the time.
