Vanishing Point

Vanishing Point

A Poem by Droll Prole

I saw them disappear
They seemed to be together
From this far away
They were right here
Apart, but side by side
Together in front of me
But apart and distant
In thought, perhaps together.

They moved in separate lines
Apart but going the same way
And in the distance
I saw them disappear
Together in the vanishing point

They held hands and kissed
In my mind
They stayed that way forever
Together entwined
A shimmering mirage
Of love

If I followed them down
Maybe I would see
Parallel lines that never meet

Maybe their vanishing point
Is a place I can't go
When time and distance
Defeated reality.

Maybe a thing is set
And can't move
Maybe an illusion can't
Prove a lie
Maybe it's a trick of
The eye
The mind
Maybe I would rather be blind
Than see.

This is a rather freaky illustration of how it might feel to be going a little crazy. I love this. This is exactly how it can feel, when you've convinced yourself of something delusional, yet you're pursuing it, seeing it as reality & delusion almost at the same time. The geometry angle is very clever & symbolic of "going off on a tangent" (((HUGS)))

I am full of something, not sure what it is... I just found out that life is a dynamic equilibrium in a polyphasic system. Wow. more..
