Life Should Be a BeachA Poem by Drjgreddick
Life should be a #Beach:
Strangers Paths gently touching briefly as sheltering umbrellas in the sand, we on each our sunny way w/ feelings left unguarded upon a beach vacation stay. Together the younger of the families ignore invisible barriers in the sand & without boundaries kindly do play. Uniqueness of commonality emerge in briefest of exchanging of words, while separated amongst each the others family’s poetic bustling fray. Eventually comes the mixed emotions of “leaving day” where paths to again diverge . A suddenness of unexpected sadnesses eludes normal restraint & composures urged from rendering speechless & tearful eyes in simplest of good-byes. Kindness not wasted realizing they as the castles built in the sand, probably never to be seen again ; except maybe, through cherished pleasant memories’ lens. Wonderful Lil’ Leo, his family, a summer vacation’s fulfilling brevity of friends. Jgr summer 2018 © 2018 Drjgreddick |
