Painful Love

This is the very first poem that I have ever written. Never thought I'd ever feel like this in my life....... That is until I did.

Out of the shadows and into the light

From the sunniest day to the darkest night

Travels an aura that troubles my soul

Constantly trying to swallow me whole

 

This aura is strong and weakens me so

It's contantly following me wherever I go

It's in my mind and in my heart

Each and everyday it tears me apart

 

What is this aura that follows me?

It's blurring my vision; I can hardly see

One by one my friends and family disappear

When this aura is around me nothing is clear

 

I have no idea what I should do

So I turned to the man in the sky of blue

"What's happening to me?" I asked the man above

He told me it was nothing, just a painful love

Author's Note

In case it wasn't clear, I was in love and that love made me do and say alot of things that potentially destroyed relationship that I had with friends and family. The idea of rejection is what made it all difficult. In any case, this was the first poem I ever wrote. Let me know what you think.
