RestrainedA Poem by De'AndreA couple years back, I felt so trapped and detained. I felt like everyone owned me and it was like i had no identity to claim as my own. Then one day, this happened.Closed up, locked down Filled with strife all around Bruised and battered, been thrown all about I ain't got enough strength to get up and break out
Stabbed, shot, beat down I'm trapped here in this town Wanna fight but something's holdin me back Was forced to come here; beat and thrown in a sack
I don't want to stay closed up, I wanna break out But it seems I don't have it in me to open my mouth I'm torched every minute of these miserable days Now it's lookin like this'll be the end of my ways
Screw it; No more mister nice guy, it's time to get out I will not be the one who ends up losing this bout I'm tired of sitting here, trapped and detained This'll be the last day that i'am restrained. © 2010 De'AndreReviews
