Now Its Time To Move On

Now Its Time To Move On

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani

Moving on was a monumental task
Which is very hard for a person
But when he attempts to move on
He still goes back in time
Reminiscing in the ruins

He goes to ask a girl out
And she ends up telling him
"You are still not over your ex"
Which makes him think
Is that really true

He searches for the part in his head
Which still cares for her
Cries for her, is concerned for her
Curses it for still existing
And blame it for everything

Oh! He is trying so hard
To get away from the beautiful past
All the moments he spent with her
It made him smile a lot
But now, its only hurting him

But then tears played its magic
Ending something very tragic
Its finally time to move on
And the time to get strong
And the time to be truly happy again

Very moving, Dushyant :') You should try to get her to read it sometime...subtly of course. It's a poem personifying the grief every person in a breakup goes through...and ends with positive thoughts. Move on. Leave the past behind. Start afresh. Lovely poem Dushyant. :)

What an aching walk.. that moment to consider the time to move on.. and to think now that letting go will actually bring you happiness... You write with a perfect honesty and pure heart.

To get to the point were you are ready to move on is usually easier said than done. It reads almost like a monologue on stage.
