The Poem of a Push-over

The Poem of a Push-over

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani

Alone, Aloof, Away, Invisible
Thrown away, Neglected
College has always such a world for me
Where I've at some point ended up feeling alone

Used and then Thrown
And then even after that Wronged
Pushed over with everything
I don't know if I can call that bullying

Tired of living this life of a pushover
Who is sweet and kind and does not judge
Just being used and end up being hurt
Who cries alone and no one knows

In the end, this is my life
The life I live all the time
I wish I could use better words
To show how much I've been fucked

But then I just got one message for the haters
One for the show-offs, who cry for help
F**k you and all, and rot all alone
Criticize me but don't use and throw

Way to go Dushyant!Amazing feel!I know perfectly well what you are talking about.I don't know if it is just the Indians who are so miffed by insecurity and double minds that they swarm around wannabe's and turn into wily foxes..There are VERY few people you can trust and until you find them it's a lonely, scary world. You speak the minds of many people.Thank you.It shook me! :)

This just overwhelmed me.. I've known the pain.. had other friends who wondered the same as well... To try and and be kind and giving n a world so full of selfishness.. No.. it isn't easy.. not at all... It takes all the courage and strength one can find. Powerful, Dushyant.

I am reminded of one of my favorite Bukowski Poems, "the genius in the crowd." Use the bad experience to fuel your poetry and rise above the bullshit.
