The Tale of What If

This is a true story, which happened just 2 days ago...

How does fate take our life around

The one we thought was our true love

Turned out to be our best friend

And left us bottled up in the what if

And left us lost in all the possibilities of it

The way life takes us around

Is really twisted and tricky to understand

Sometimes the ones we love the most

Leave us with the most pain

And we are stuck with tears and sadness

Even though we have to move on

From all the sadness bottled up within us

We can't stop and think back

What would've been

If I didn't feel hurt and alone

Hope I don't lose you ever even as a friend

Hope I am able to live it up and be there

Hope I can keep up my optimism

Hope my life doesn't leave me stranded alone

And finally I hope what's happened has happened for the better

oh you speak the truth - of heartache and sadness - "Sometimes the ones we love the most
Leave us with the most pain" - an emotive write here - and that last line shows this too - sometimes all we can do is hope it happened for a reason and all will work out! great write! I'd possibly add "I" before the Hope's at the end - "I hope" - but that's a matter of style I think - a great poem indeed! nice!
