Mood Swings

Sudden mood swings are dangerous

And sometimes it can be disastrous

We may hurt the ones we love

And times can get hard and rough

Words can act like poisonous mushrooms

Our acts can give our happiness no room

Everything around us becomes too sad

And we just wish to see something "rad"

In the end we just got to get through

And surge with these times through and through

Because we are left with no choice

And we just find for someone to hear our voice

very nice - an emotive write - mood swings indeed - I like the couplet rhymes too - only suggestion is in the last line - "we just find for someone" - the find is out of place - maybe we just wish or we just hope etc. - but other than that great poem!

Emotions are such an integral part of who we are.. how we act... You capture so well that darker essence of our moods that can lash out.. that can strike against even those we love.. I agree with Ashrith--the way I see it, a more free structure would better suit this poem. Some of the rhymes felt forced, and I think you could express your idea better if you weren't confined to the rhyme scheme. I really liked the comparison of words to poisonous mushrooms--very true.
