I Want You to Let Me Go

I Want You to Let Me Go

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani
"

They normally say that if you truly love someone, you must let them go. But is that even possible. It just is a drama according to me, even though I somewhat believe in this fact.

"
"I want you to hold me tight", she said
And I did as told
"I want you to let me go", she said
And I did
But it was a stab in my heart to do so

I did everything you told me to
But then why do you want to let go
After all that we did together
After all that we faced together
The laughter and cries, kisses and hugs

Why do you want to leave?
This is a question I want an answer to
So that I can accept the reality
And then gracefully let you go
Like a true lover would.

Author's Note

Dushyant Thadani
This is what everyone faces, I guess. Love is just such an easy term these days, that it lasts only for a few days, and in the end, someone has to let the other go. I am sorry girls for making the person who I am supposed to let go a girl, but well I don't have any other choice.

In general Dushyant if u have to let go of someone or if that person wants to be free then in that case he/she does not know what love means?
Love is about tolerance yet loving even the bad points in a person not jst letting the person free to go.
yes, i agree love is being taken as an easy term nowadays , a really heart felt poem great work.

There is a tension found in love.. that clinging too tight can crush it, but holding tenderly can bring a feeling of security and love.. Yes.. letting go sometimes is necessary to see if one will love when released fully to do so.. Beautifully said.

Good job with this Dushyant!

More than anything else...think of it as when one door closes another opens...Let this girl go and a better one will come into your life...or give her space to grow and be the woman she wants to be with you. It's never easy...but it always works out!

Very bad a*s in my opinion. Easily relatable, punk, and a little metal. HAHA, a better explanation would be that it is modern, undisciplined but in a good way, and loveable. Great write from a great writer keep sending me the goods and I will get to them eventually. :) good luck
