Fighting Parents

Fighting Parents

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani
"

The most ill happening in our society, which harms the young ones very badly.

"
As a young adult
We know what's about to break out
With the adults

We see them arguing
And it seems to us like the third world war
And we are just left in between

We want to stop
This gibberish which could be settled
But can we make it stop?

Our younger siblings
Can't understand what's going on
And they ask us what's happening

Just like that
I wish to scream out to the world
And not face the consequences of that

Cause what's going on affects me
And is affecting all that's going wrong
Can't I just be free

These cases of fighting parents
Are the biggest threat to the future
Thank God! Cause I got loving parents

Dushyant,
What i love about your work is the socially relevant themes coming up now n again in your poems. This is another masterful write on something which has wrecked families apart. Remember it all begins with a fight. One key point which you highlighted was the effect these fights on little kids and not so little ones.
I loved your style n flow to this one. and Message conveyed perfectly. Great write..

Good work. It's always harder on the kids when their parents act like children. If only the adults understood what they were doing.

Great statement on everyday issues. It reminds me of my own childhood.

I can totally relate to this, its a very sad situation but this is exactly how it happens and it so hard to explain to younger siblings. i can't really say much cause you pretty much said it all. great job, you nailed it! great poem!

. parents fight everywhere, dushyant ... in our country it's worse because we have a very large population and less space and everything is "in your face" ... there's nowhere to go ... my parents used to fight like cats and dogs ... it was a nightmare ... it is amazing for me to read this poem ... it's great that you wrote it ...

Parents shouldn't fight in front of their kids, they need to take it some place else, or else their kids are going to grow up messed up and angry
