The ecstasy of pure romance

Drags us towards a brilliant trance

Even if we aren't involved in it

Even if we are there by chance

Romance isn't necessarily love

That part of it is just puff

Heightened by the media moguls

And makes finding it a bit tough

Romance though is actually easy to find

It's plain to see but difficult to remind

You just really need to open your eyes

Observe and then you'll actually find

It's as simple as a baby's smile

Or an adventure walking for miles

It's just around us all the time

So let's sit back and let it take us on a ride

Thanks. After misinterpreting romance all these years, I've written this as a musing to remind myself how being in love isn't the only thing that's romantic.
