Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani
"

How many of us really dream? For me, it wakes me up in peace the next morning. Does it do that trick for you as well?

"
I was a dreamer once
A dreamer who used to dream beyond the skies
A dreamer who dared to think anything could be possible
A dreamer who would go ahead to say he would be the best
A dreamer who was brought down to reality too damn fast
Simply because he lacked conviction

I saw my first taste of reality
And the next moment I couldn't dream
Instead I just had thoughts
About how the next day could go
And just lived without dreaming at night
And made it day to day

Since most of us are living this way
I just thought it'd be the right to do in life
But then with a loss of dreams comes a loss of identity
And I ain't willing to pay that price
So hop on board and let's go for an adventure
Or what I call a close-eyed wonderland
And you will see what you've missed
But it still ain't too late
We are still breathing aren't we
So let's start dreaming once again
