The Lazy Man Paradox

The Lazy Man Paradox

A Poem by Dushyant Thadani

What I see is what I know
Let me be and let life flow
Such a lazy man's words
In a currently lazy man's world

Going with the flow; enjoying the road
Is said to be a life of adventure
But is that what we really get
When we look at it through someone else

We say we yearn for acceptance
For people to love us and respect
And then we start becoming selfish
And the course of all of the above flourishes

It's simple and easy the live we live
But we still end up getting into false pretenses
About every single little thing we do
And make sure we get disappointed soon

That's what is happening to me too
Worrying too much or going with the flow
Letting God running every bit of my show
And with me not doing much to grow

I wish I knew a fix to this
I suggest there is none, let it be
Life is fine the way it is
And now its time to go to bed
