Finding Ourselves in Hiatus

In a place where there is no refrain

No pretension with any of our emotions

Where we can be more me and you

And now we are in hiatus

Trying to figure out what we are

Who we are actually meant to be

What's our exact purpose in life

If we are even meant to be together

Then in a form of a suggestion you tell me

If you and I are actually meant to be together

There'll be a sign in our live when we find ourselves

Find all the joyous and ceremonious feelings

And fall in love with each other again

But then I think, what if we don't find ourselves

Isn't that also a very dangerous and real possibility

Where we can actually make real mistakes

Where neither of us might actually be happy

Or even if either one of us manages to find ourselves

Would we just allow ourselves to ignore the other

She starts to think about that real possibility

That I just thought out loud and then told me

"I know the world is not selfless anymore

I know that you've been hurt a lot before

But I feel really good and optimistic about this

I see a real chance at a life where

We might both be happy in our own way

And if either one of us manages to do that

Then we should let the other know and be

Selfless human beings once again

Just the way God Almighty intended

Trust me, it'll be great"

And she hugged me and walked away

And just left me with a final glance goodbye
