The World As It Is

In this world of sheer destruction
Where we see it as a complete distraction
A destruction of self, a destruction of others
And one day it bubbles up and explodes on earth

Where we see usually the selfish
And very rarely the selfless in the same bloody person
Who has shown signs of forgiveness at times
But has been completely destructive otherwise

More importantly though this world
Has had very little hope since the day all of us were born
But can’t we even attempt to even try
To make a little change, open our hearts a bit for the future

I am also another one of those hypocrites
Who is writing this bloody poem
But then I hope this message reaches you
Because I’m a too scared to lead, so I’ll let you
