Whispers

Whispers

A Poem by DrippingSkies
"

“Voices make them louder”

"
Whispers shout
Whispers scream
Voices make them louder

Slipping past one's teeth,
no matter how tight you clench
Poisoning the air once they escape

They scream in the dark
They dump buckets in your eyes
Their power overwhelms you

Crushing your windpipe
with their sticky claws
Cementing their talons to your throat

Whispers shout
Whispers scream
They leave you breathless and crush your dreams
