I Remember

Have you ever met someone your soul already knew?

Your smile was a memory
for I had dreamed your laughter
when I was younger,
during an age of innocence.

Your scent has haunted me
before proximity confirmed
imagination was a prophecy
fragrant with seduction.

Never knowing the scar,
my lips found the flawless blemish
where hips curve toward sculpted bliss,
kissing a birthright claimed.

Readiness mirrored with need,
a lifetime of patience
breaking passion's chrysalis,
heavens pierced by destiny's wing.

The sway of your hips
reminding my old soul
transcendence had to wait
'till you raptured me to paradise.

There's something so powerful about knowing someone you've never met. That feeling inside is interesting and infinite. I think there are multiple people out there for us like this. Our souls run in families in eternity. We meet them again and again as we learn the lessons we are meant to learn along our journeys.

what a delight...to remember someone you have never met---that is a soulmate...wow, and i truly believe i met mine years ago...we married...but living together didn't work out...and yet we are still so close...we both know...soulmates forever.

Yes, I have experienced this but my experience was more on a Spiritual level. I did not have any visuals of the physical kind :-)

The physical can be just as spiritual as the mind... We are physical beings after all. I think sometimes we pretend the physical experiences are somehow base or less spiritual. Yes, I understand well how these memories can be a thought or feeling as well.
