Very nice piece. To embrace who you truly are and shed off the facades, I feel alot of our anxieties would fade. We could be honestly happy, or not. Love this.

You are right about anxieties and happiness I think...
Thank you for reading and reviewing.

I liked the poem. The flow of thoughts took the reader in and held them.
"Sing your love
for you are not a dumb beast
boldly cry out your truth
bathe in the echo of your voice."
The above lines were my favorite. We need to listen to our inner thoughts. Thank you David for sharing the excellent poetry.

Healing is never entirely over.. but maybe the memories of how life was given back, how hope re.appeared - teaches a wonderfully wonderful lesson: that being lost in dark shadows isn't the end. To help someone or to be helped, helps make a person find what's been missing - can be anything, everything.
Sorry, too busy spouting off, i failed to comment about the way you've laid thoughts in front of self and reader: gently philosophical, firmly down to earth, ' .. You are not meant to be kept - neither are you meant to fly away .. '
Your words are - individually, simple, but the sum total of them is incredibly moving.

No, I agree with you about healing being a constant progression. Still, for myself, I find if I claim the healing I have found I reach new heights more readily. It is much like faith or hope or even love... We must say "I hope, I love, I believe, therefore seek more hope, search deeper the boundaries of love, and know the foundations to build my beliefs upon". This is my exclamation for a friend and myself to say, "I am healed, therefore I will continue to rise above my brokenness".
Or something like that... Ha.
Anyhow, I'm rambling.
Suffice to say, thank you, as always, for your time and your words.
There are times in all of our lives that we need a certain healing... and it seems you were awakened to the needs of another. May we all find ourselves reaching out to those in need, and healing the hearts of those around us...

Yes, and these awakenings heal us as well.
Thank you for reading Craig.
I can remember plenty of times where my heart was racing with fear and or anxiety and I was literally frozen in my shoes. It can be difficult when something or someone can suddenly put you in a position where you are stuck with fear. Awesome piece David.

Yet, I breath, I pray, I dig deep, and I remember how it feels to be "healed".
Sometimes it is just a baby step in the right direction.
Now, this is wonderful. Anxiety abounds/probably will always be somewhere in our mind. You're imagery was beautiful. The comfort, the assurance and security given is something we all need and desire. Thank you.

The healing was and is done... No never perfectly completed, but yes "healed" (past tense).
Thus, the tenderness and comfort is only to support and remind a loved one to claim their power. We all own the real truth in the echo of our own voice singing out and accepting the ability to live whole and healed.
Anyhow... This was my intention. :). Ha.
It really is easier than we make it usually... I know from experience.

i agree I know too ... people learn when they are ready :) x
Much like you...
Still, I can only ever be to you what you are willing to see of me. This is true of us all.
May we learn to see the best in each other.
I am happy to be friends with anyon.. more..
