(Had to slide down the list to find a not so long ago post from you- and 'Eureka - success! )
Read this to self, then whispered it.. and then, read so i could hear the words echo.. and have woken up to the fact that this is a two way journey, paths 'longside.
Are you really writing about that wondrous thing call 'sea oat, or, writing about a someone - a someone who clings to life because that's why it lives.. tenacious, adventurous, holding life together not just for self but...
In all honesty, don't want to know the answer to your intention, this is treasure written with great phrasing, question and mystery. Love it.

Since you don't want to know, I won't tell you. ;) However, I am always willing to be transparent if you request it.
I do find the natural world is a mirror into the nature of humanity however...
I love how you combine science with poetic excellence to paint these wonderful images and facts about sea oats. I like the personification of she stands. That line is an excellent start to a poem. Sorry I missed this write David...:).................

I know you have the best intentions toward your fellow poets here. I was thinking of a particularly strong, yet delicate, individual as I wrote this poem...

I see. Took it literally then. You are welcome...:)....................
I love the note. "You seldom read poems about the Sea Oat" -- I like the way this flows, as it literally works with the ocean imagery.

Thus her comment and my poetry...
I always find inspiration when I interact with fellow writers.
Thank you for stopping by KL and for the positive feedback.
The sea and a woman of delicate limbs...this poem has beauty written all over it. I found the imagery to be both delicate and strong. It's a wonderful blending of imagery.

I believe there is nothing more universally admirable than the soul of a spiritually aware woman. Even in our broken states there is a perfection of character found in the feminine of this world. Anyhow... I could go on and on here, but I'm glad you enjoyed the poem.
Ohhh, yes! Now this is lovely - called to my soul - lovely! x

Most welcome love, I enjoyed reading and chatting to you x
She clings here, to a place only she can occupy. I'm kinda jealous, for I would love to always be there, right beside the sea... Anyway, this was such a lovely piece, the way you draw this delicate yet resilient plant, with salt and sand and wind...

Somehow I think you need not feel any jealously. I know you have this same everyday beauty as you see in the poetry. It is found in being true to your purposes in life.
Your interpretation is lovely.
Living in South Florida, I do know the importance of sea oat...though I must confess I never thought about writing a poem about it! :) The long root structure is well suited to the sandy beach areas and it really helps preserve the shoreline when a hurricane comes through. As a matter of fact, I think pulling out the sea oat grass is punishable by a huge fine. Your poem personifies the sea oat....and does so with splendid imagery. I enjoyed this....like a walk along the shoreline! Lydi**

I'll walk along the shoreline with you any day.
Much like you...
Still, I can only ever be to you what you are willing to see of me. This is true of us all.
May we learn to see the best in each other.
