"sway to dancing pulse of Earth's music."~ Such wonders she blesses, for all to breathe in...if only you open your heart, and allow her to take root in your soul....then you will truly know the earth, as she knows you...
An enchanting write, dear Poet~xoxo~:)

I know the way I wrote this made I feel like I was speaking about the "Earth" like "Mother Earth", but my mind was feeling like all of Nature and Humanity connected as one organism. rooted together and sharing nourishment like a grove of Aspen trees along the river of the cosmos...
An amazing title and poem. I like how you describe your roots , your place in the world , your value or worth in the scheme of things and how you are touched by nature as she touches you with the beauty whether material or spiritual all around you.
An Arab saying : He or she who deny their roots( origins other translations ) have no roots...
Excellent...:)..............

Thank you for the review Sami. I like hearing the wisdom from your roots as well...
This makes me think of one finding themselves in a stable position to grow and take root, to branch out into the reach of weave and to experience all that is ...beautiful write.

I was thinking about how much I long to travel the world and see every last little thing there is to see... I was feeling pent up and frustrated because I have been very "rooted" from a very early age. Then I realized my situation is not an inconvenience but an advantage... I changed the question I was asking myself and I was able to write this poem with strength and empowerment rather than feeling trapped...
anyhow... tmi? ha.
Thank you again for reading.

no, not tmi, you wear strength and empowerment very well :)
This is gorgeous...rooted, but still able to be ...everywhere, takes some strength does that and yet can be achieved...this really is a stunning piece of work love x

I do not think I have captured the ability to be as succinct and profound as you are in your poetry, but I did feel like I was able to pen and emote a deep belief. It just took a few extra words to do it. ha.
Your kind words are very encouraging.

Gotta be kidding!? lol You write with epic depth, I am always blown away x
i absolutely love the ending verse. You take your time painting an evocative, vivid picture of how well this earth of yours knows you, your roots stretching deep inside your land, and then launch yourself out from that basis in the end. When our roots are strong, we travel better, paradoxically.

Thank you Joie. You seem to have read my intention well here. Life is "paradoxical"...
We all grow, each day, whether we like it or not. Life happens, learning happens and very often love happens somewhere along the way. My friend you have painted life, from its early stages to the wisdom that blends in with the weathered bark we end up wearing. Very nicely penned David.

Yes, you understand better than I do I think... I hope to continue to learn.
Living and having life as it should be.
You take a partner, make a family, raise them, make a living, have life.
Continue to learn to know other as how earth recognizes your existence.
This may not be your intended meaning, but I enjoyed how I pictured the simplicity and the grandoise of living and of having life at the same time while reading your poem.
