Le Blanc

Le Blanc

A Poem by David Scott
"

One of my favorite resorts...

"

Le Blanc curtains dance,

Seductive and unpredictable.

Fixation  ~   a hidden history  ~  valences truth.

Caribbean breezes…

Thick with salty evaporate,

Sheer  ~ Twirled and twisted ~   delicately draped.

Persistent urging tosses with youthful abandon,

Wanting is as a distant echo of the calling gulls.

Blowing  ~ balance tipping~  in enthusiastic swaying.

A crystal clear wall of refracting dreams,

Topples over and tangles in millions of moments

Billowing ~ momentum rises ~ tumbling over.

Satisfactions surfing in a rip tide flurry of jubilant displacement.

Time deposited sands creating the beach of our lives.

Foaming breakers ~ tangled reaching ~ across millions of moments.

Yesterday dreams visualized in shades of black and white,

Today shine in digital, high definition orbs of color,

Wrapped ~ naked perfection ~  in Le Blanc lace.

Is this a nudist resort Scott... Ooh la la, ha, seriously, I could use a spa right now, had the day from hell and this was just what the doctor ordered, or the dentist, whichever the case may be ;-)....enjoyed!

I love when people write with the idea of travel in mind. The flow and imagery felt like a vacation fully realized and enjoyed. Nicely done.

Thank you for your comments Sarah.
Been there, going back! Three weeks and counting...
A lucky man you are David. This was a beautiful cruise of words and imagery that is so Caribbean with the sensuality of the moments... I know you are excited and the family. Gracious for writing this poem...:)

Not only does this sound like a beautiful place to visit, it sounds like you will have wonderful time as well ;) I love the subtleties within this. Reading between the lines has all the sensual pleasures that an escape like Le Blanc is sure to bring. Of course, I can read sexual innuendos in almost everything I read. But this was tastefully done with the right amount of hinting. A pleasure indeed!

Yes, I intend for the reader to se sensuality here. I would be surprised if any adult did not...

This poem has almost a Caribbean cruise feel to it. The world is black and white and then you go on the cruise and multicolored peace and serenity envelop you! The clouds puff out just for you and the gulls sing for you too. I know I feel that way when we cruise. The "Le Blanc" reference leads me to believe it was a Caribbean resort you went to though. "Refracting dreams" what an image! Just a lovely write. Lydi**
