Lull

Lull

A Poem by Drifting Blue
"

For Kurt

"

Lull

Collide

Be-bop in the eye of the storm

Still time, still time, steal time…

Shape shifting faces

Dry shades in the lull

Waiting for the deluge, again

Again and again and when, oh when how long…

Cloud like a hammer

Takes away the sins

Singed fingers pull away

Before the fury

Attacked attacked attached

Umbilical attached

Attached, attacks the heart

The heart unprepared to take the rain

The rain, the rain, the rain…

The end.

I love the repetition of the words, and then the subtle changes in those words. The "Smells like Teen Spirit" feel is a wonderful touch to your already mesmerizing poetic style. Kurt Cobain would be proud!
