Broken StringsA Poem by SereneAn angsty about broken friendship.
The excruciating pain as I try to remove the stitches to defend,
You scream at me, avoid my wandering gaze and now, You expect everything to be forgotten, To disappear, You can act like nothing has happened, I did nothing wrong. But, I bet you didn't know I have a bird singing your own song. Crawling out of your throat twisting words and memories And all because you want attention? Your pretty good at convincing. Your pushing away all that is close to you until you are Isolated, Invisible, and hated, and honestly I look forward to watching you struggle in this world you've created. You can't erase each word you spoke, You can't rewrite my trust and respect, I'm curious as what you did expect. I'll slowly remove the stitches from the frowning imprint you have left on me. I will live my life, And as your life crumbles in your palm of "superiority", You will live what is left of yours. © 2010 SereneAuthor's Note
