PrologueA Chapter by Drgons90Where it all began.
A land in four. Four nations fighting each other. For domination, for greed, for power, for leadership. One thinks the other is wrong. Another thinks that the rest are just pests and hindrance to progress. It would have been a peaceful place, if not for the planet's condition.
Azania had only a single continent named after it. A very large landmass surrounded by a seemingly endless sea. Entrapped within are the four nations that fought amongst each other. It was like a death match, no escape. The people have fought for so long that they have forgotten their true purpose. Their role was simple: to destroy the enemy. One of the nations was ruled by elf-like creatures that believed in one deity they call Cassandina. Situated almost at the north-east corner, the country experiences hot months and snowy months. Such weather conditions strengthened its citizen's resilience. They were experts at stealth and hunting. The second nation was situated at a desert. The air around the area is hot and dry. Its brilliant human inhabitants, however, have found a way to conserve water. The nation had excellent architects and workers; it was one large city that existed below the sand dunes and the hot sun. The third nation was known for its mystical properties, at the same time feared by its cruel inhabitants. The most dominant of them all, its land of origin was soaked in magic. At first they were humans who respected an entity for blessing the land with a great gift. However, they grew greedy and started using the magic for their own purposes. They turned to demons and sought the leadership of a powerful man. The fourth and the last nation was the smallest, yet the most potential. Situated by the edge of the land, the nation thrives almost entirely by the sea. Pirates, seamen, and the like populate this place. There was music and smiles everywhere, the place was friendly to tourists. They, of course, would execute any who would try to harm their nation. Thanks their expertise at the sea, they can easily sail from one nation to another and attack it from behind. However, behind the conflicts, there was a small country secluded from the nations. A peaceful city hidden by nature. It was the place of refuge from those who did not want to participate in the war. In fact, it is the only place where citizens of each nations accepted the others. It was tranquil; the people lived life like how they should have. Blessed and coveted by the gods, the country was to receive both a gift and a curse. A string of events that would lead to either world peace, or its destruction. © 2014 Drgons90Author's Note
