Filling

Filling

A Poem by Drew S.

I would love to have just one thing that I cherished and adored
A toy from my childhood or a sweatshirt that kept me safe, warm
Maybe a symbol to justify me, like an old award
This keeps pestering me, turning into a different form

Usually it comes to say hello when I’m the most bored
Attaching to each hormone, causing my whole body to storm
Disgusting thoughts dance through my head, pounding with every plucked chord
Possessiveness becomes an infection, it’s hard to reform
