Here's My Truth

Here's My Truth

A Poem by Drew S.

Confessing to you all my sins and every single lie

Spilling out from a deep cut I surgically detail

But your judgement is just condensed down to a single sigh

I love your kindness it seems it will never ever fail

And the crimson soaked tissues in our talk begins to dry

I still try to measure all of my mistakes on a scale

Sometimes neither of us can see through a red, cloudy eye

I'm sorry to say but your guilt isn't enough to post bail

And that's ok cause we've done wrong even if we were sly

Although in comparison to others it seems to pale

Still these accusations we won't be able to deny

Together we can hopefully ease the pain of our jail
