Dead log

Dead log

A Poem by Drew Peterson

sitting by the fire place waiting for the heat to hut my cold flesh.

Watching the fire ambers burn to ash sitting here.  With my thoughts

Behind me. About to cry don’t know what to do.

Watching the flames burn through that log.

Like the warm sun that dries out that lonely log on the

Ocean side.
