My EscapeA Poem by DrewBerryWritten about 'living in the box' of this computer. Here, we can choose what part of ourselves to reveal; creating an illusion of self-defination. Hiding behind the screen, but revealed by our words.Friends abound in distant places. Faces elude me, construed yet plainly seen through words of measure; Taking pleasure in their contemplated realities.
Feeling free to share behind this screen of discontent. Safety in the hidden places of time spent amongst the lonely friends. Definition hidden in my future, unknown and unseen.
Exciting, frightful, tentative yet insightful. Here I regain my release.
Let it suffice through the nighttime and through the rain. Welcome heartache. Welcome pain. Consume the heart and let it ache. Nothing more that it cant take. © 2008 DrewBerryFeatured Review
