Patience Prize

A fantasy piece about two long distance virtual lovers coming together for real, finally.

What a wonderful surprise those eyes, that smile. Sweet embrace so long overdue.

So many emotions exchanged through the lines ofmiles  & distances.

 

Contemplated convergence. Surely not to disappoint the build up of expectations.

Imagination run wild. Sweet love child of a new day.

Not too late; never too late.

So many miles crossed. Hurdles jumped & years unraveled.

 

Time's meeting by chance; so carefully planned.

Seems so late, but just in time to save the lonesome souls so near death.

 

Being revived. Feeling alive. Just in time before the flat line cries for the lost spirits.

Saved just in time. 

Oh my that sweet embrace; tippie toe kisses & glimpses into those sparkly baby blues. 

Smiling eyes - no surprise. Warmth in that touch; electrical rush of chemistry.

Anticipated but not quite expected the intensity of this hope fulfilled.

 

They head away to the place of their dreams; cozy little love den.

Neither one quite prepared for this spinning whirling explosion of emotion.

Not a moment for loves tender embraces, for the time of expression is at hand.

Patience prize long last realized.

Doors shut as they open up & let it out.

 

Sweet mercy melts away in the heated passion, waiting no more.

No worries. No responsibility. No deadlines or demands.

Just the two in a soul convergence til then just shared through a life line of hope.

 

Reeling in that big fish of promise & faith.

Past the wave line into the smooth ocean's sails.

The hurricane has blown through with an aftermath of mess to wash away.

 

Structures to rebuild, but the air is clear and clarity's consciousness is fresh in the wake of the storm. More than surviving, but thriving past the midst of the eye.

Hands held tight as life takes flight beyond the invisible mask of past discontent.

Pretending, never ending or so it would seem.

But finally that illusive prize is long last captured.
