Ode to a Lover

Ode to a Lover

A Poem by Dressed in Poetry
"

Written on a half sheet of paper.

"

You are my love, my dear, my darling.

How did I ever get along without your

Hand to lead me, your arms to carry me,

Your face to light my path?

Your voice, your smile, your touch –

My saving grace, yet still too much.

I think of you whenever a pencil

And a piece (or half) of paper lie

In front of me, longing for your

Name to be written over and over…

A million words scream to be written –

Nay, sung – for you,

Letters come together into odes

To your wonder.

And you are mine, and I yours,

To sing together forevermore.

This is a intense adoration of which would
make me stir crazy in love. I feel you on
this one. It flowed beautifully and some
times into a frenzy, I would have made this
into three stanzas to keep it tight, but
overall nicely done...
