![]() Kissing Alpha AquilaA Poem by Dressed in Poetry
My hand reaches up to touch your shining face, Grazing the midnight sky along the way, Passing solar systems and galaxies To feel the skin upon your sunlit cheek. I grasp your shirt, holding onto stardust As meteors and comets fly by in flames, But I only see your light upon me, Brighter than the sun, darker than the moon, And lovelier than any nighttime star, Even those which we choose to wish upon. For no falling or stagnant star compares To sharing lips with Alpha Aquila.
