Her amative attitude
Led her to believe that
Everyone else was the same –
That they all had the
Same feelings
Same desires
Same tenderness for the world
That she held within her heart.
And she always reached out
To help
To guide
To love
Making everyone she spoke to
Feel wanted.
His destructive disposition
Led him to think that
Everyone else was the same –
That they all had the
Same emotions
Same loathing
Same abhorrence for the world
That he held within his mind.
And he always stuck out
To hurt
To ruin
To hate
Making everyone he looked at
Feel dejected.
Her passion
Her desire for good
Her need to aid
Those who cried out
With their broken souls
Drove her to reach out to him,
To make him feel the way
She felt.
And at first, he laughed,
His greed
His lust
His pride
Denying him the ability
To listen to her words.
Then, he began to listen,
Mocking her still with his mouth,
But his heart leaning to hers.
He was shocked
To discover
That there was one person
Who touched a part of him
Previously numb from neglect
And brought it back to life
With a mere smile.
Her amative personality
Led her to him,
Told her to help,
Urged her to show him love.
But his destructive nature
Was victorious in the end
As he lashed out once more,
Denying her aid,
And causing her to become
Just like him.
