            Dull

            Monotonous

While we wait for our defining moment –

The moment when everything

Seems to move more slowly

To celebrate your victory,

The cheesy, over-played music

Blaring as you run across

The finish line,

Triumphant.

 

Too bad these moments

Only truly happen
