Brian and Gina

Brian and Gina

A Poem by Dressed in Poetry

Brian and Gina were always together –
Dancing across the room, out in the town –
And one day they said they’d last forever,
Brian in a tux, Gina in a gown.

The years went by in hardly a flash.
Brian and Gina were still happy with life,
Without any sort of violent clash,
No arguments nor any kind of strife.

They kept this image throughout their day
The picture of perfection, love, and joy,
And the others in the town would say,
“There is the girl and her beloved boy.”

Time passed by, and in another few years,
The townsfolk still worked and the fires still burned,
And Brian and Gina were still without tears,
Until one day she left and never returned.

Alternate Ending:
Time passed by, and in another few years,
The townsfolk still worked with no time to rest
And Brian and Gina were still without tears
Until one day he stuck a knife in her chest.
