Pain

well i've been experimenting... this is a collage, this poem is made from the lines of several different songs all put together in a coherent form

Pain

 

I tear my heart open and I sew myself shut,

My weakness has always been that I care too much

Our scars remind us our past is real,

At times I tear my heart open just to feel

And no matter how hard I tried my soul to regain,

You became my power, my pleasure, my pain

It’s not like you didn’t know that

I said I love you and I swear I still do

But it must have been so bad

Being with me must have damn near killed you

And I know, it’s not like you to say sorry,

I was waiting on a different story

This time I’m mistaken,

For handing you a heart worth breaking

From the heart of a dear friend truer words have never been spoken

“Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken”?
