Rain

Dear Rain, you are so pure, 

oodles of tranquility that you bring to fore, 
the petrichor so dear to my core, 
a sense of belonging for the never quenching thirst.

You revive that feeling of longing.
those innocent cuddles in the puddles,
hopping in the wavering rain,
rejoicing mud as if another world.

Sipping tea sitting in front of the window pane,
glancing infinitely at the lane, 
gradually losing sensation of all the pain,
when I am engrossed in admiring your vain.

Dancing to the tunes of God.
accompanied by the melodies of your pitter-patter, 
silencing all the thundering chatters,
you sacrifice yourself to be absorbed in gutters.

Giving birth to the little seed, 
also nurturing the forsaken weed.
pouring-droplets twirling on the pond, 
effervescent lotus smiles to see you around. 

Drenching me are your silvery clouds,
time stops as I pass the night staring thou, 
lending myself to be mingled in beauty of you,
squandering my being in your ethereal solace.

They curse you for bringing them pain, 
but if it were not you, how would they grow grain, 
you fall alike on fields, yards, orchards;
rooftops or the mud-ridden old estranged yacht.

Down-pouring for the poor and the rich,
the dark nights and the bright daylight,
wiping the glasses and the rocks,
hurting yourself to be on the blocks.

The sun glows brighter to see you near,
scattering all of its glittering colours ,
for you wash the dust and dirt that surrounds,
only if you could clean the filthy pnuema you found.

The greenery of life, 
this viridescence of mother earth,
you visit only to lend this world, 
a message to live with a divine purpose.
