Don't Be Confused

Don't Be Confused

A Poem by Graveyardfuck

How do we find who we are of who we're meant to be is so far out of our reach?
When you see what I see what life seems to be you see something ugly.
Disturbing.
Close your eyes and take deep breaths.
Count to ten.
Count to ten.
Count to ten.
Breathe.
Does it work?
I didn't think so. I knew so, I know so.
When you see what I see what life seems to be you struggle.
It's a pain, a pain to know everything.
And yet, nothing.
You see what I see and can't make sense of what you see.
Do you see?
Seeing is deceiving.
A mirage for believing.
When you see what I see what life seems to be you can't understand.
You can't, you can't, you can't.
So give up and close your eyes.
Don't see what you see.
Just listen to me.

AHHHH!!!! A fellow Cassandra Clare City of Bones fanatic! Let me just say: I approve!!!!! Now, this poem rings with a morbid truth that getting sometimes getting lost can bury you deep in your own underground, and I can see the these words in action. Great write Brooke. :)

Very nice,
Very fitting given my recent thoughts. That said I like the format and the truth to senses deceiving us. Often it feels like giving up, but willpower plays a part in it all. So you will the world around you. That is knowing that it happens for a reason, understanding the reasons gets tricky. Love the piece. Hope your well.

Very deep if I may add just a little line :

"Believe, and see. The world as it could be.
Trust and believe, and the world will see you,
the soul you were born to be."

I never said it was. It was a joke on the line ;p toilet.
The best lines in this poem are:
"Seeing is deceiving.
A mirage for believing."
Not everything we see is real, because we can't always see the truth.
Excellent poem, one of your best.

Our senses came to us to help us understand what's happening to us. There are things seen that we cannot understand. And there are things heard but we cannot see...and yet we have to understand.
Life is absurd...so never never get confused. Sometimes it lies upon how you think and feel...

Clever write!
