Boys and their stupid lies...

The summer daze,

Was just a phase,

Something easily tossed.

And with it went that stupid board,

But without it I feel lost.

"I love you," Is an abused phrase,

That means nothing to this generation.

Unless it's spoken in truth...

None the less, it leads to frustration.

I'm being over dramatic,

Honey, you got it all wrong...

Call me names,

And scream your orders,

While I plunge that stupid skateboard,

Across the f*****g border.

With your Sharpie lies written across,

But without it I feel so lost...

You said you love me,

Now I know it isn't true,

But guess what, honey?

Karma's a b***h...

And she's comin' for you.

Summer daze...

A blinded day,

Forever stays,

In the mind of a broken dreamer.

Looking for love,

For the heart of her redeemer.

I think the phrase "I love you" is overly used and at most times an excuse or gateway to escape guilt or pain or something much deeper. Nice write.

words begin to lose their meanings when they're spoken too many times in an insincere fashion- this poetry does a good job of showing the frustration that comes with insincerity. don't go looking for that boy, and stay strong! like i said before, keep writing through this pain and everything will be ok.
