Summer Daze

Summer Daze

A Poem by Graveyardfuck

Kissing under the sweltering sun,

In an abandonded concrete tunnel.

Graffitied love

Sprawled around our hot bodies,

I fell in love with that hazel eyed smile,

Even though it was yesterday.

Alice N' Chains and Skid Row playing in the background,

Of our raging hormoines.

I crumple your AC/DC shirt in my fist,

As I feel every ounce of my tension dissipate.

I'm crying right now though,

Because I know,

Now

Is

Not

The

Time

You're not over her,

And I'm not over him.

How long,

Must I wait,

For another summer daze?

Nickolai...

This is such a sad and beautiful piece. Very descriptive. The imagery is amazing! Take Care! Stay Strong! :)

An exceptionally brilliant lament, Brooke. How long indeed; perhaps time has little meaning for such rhetorical questions, true? They stand aside and watch the world weave the fabric of itself.
