Devine Farewell

Pale flesh,

Crimson rose petals,

The intricate backdrop,

Of a devine death.

Her black hair falls around her porcelain face.

Her lover sobs into his hands.

Cracked, bloody palms, and tar coated finger nails. 

The immensity of his melancholy,

Sends tremors all through him.

Beautiful death.

Happiness is rare,

And likely impossible in this case,

Yet, 

The man finds himself uplifted.

Her delicate, feathery hand,

Rests on his shouldier,

He glances back,

"I will always be here, Oberon. Do not worry."

She faded...

His angel was there,

And he realized, 

She always would be,

Always.

Carassing the face of his timeless angel,

One last farewell was in order,

But forever, it would not always stay.

He would see her again.

A devine rekindling,

Of a devine farewell.

My hear goes out to this poor lady. I think she went through a lot of suffering before this death. The boy of course suffers the worst for he has to live without her.

The way you have depicted this mournful story is just excellent. It takes a lot of talent to arrange words in such an elegant manner. Thank you for sharing this.

this is absolutely gorgeous. stunning imagery and a very clever story line . truly a gothic tale , spun in well worded prose. a classic write.....divine!
