I'm Not Angry Anymore

Written June 12, 2013 about someone who I'm not angry at anymore.

It's been 1 month since I saw the first taste of hope in

the form of ending semesters and final exams. It's been

2 months since I took a blade to that same damned 

place on my upper thigh and wondered if Heaven has

any room for people who end their own lives. It's been

3 months since my best friend's birthday and the

realization that I will never be surrounded by people

who have loved me for as long as I have been alive.

It's been 4 months since a Valentine that felt as unsure

and surreal as the dim lights and crumpled red dress

and the thoughtless, mindless, cruel voice saying 

to me, I love you I love you I love you because that's

what the fourteenth is for. It's been 5 months since

I left the person who broke down everything I am, and

I am just now learning what it means to be better.

anyway, that was off topic so let me just say thanks! This one was not written in a place of happiness at the time, I was feeling more desperately hopeful, however reading it a year later it feels bittersweet.
