You Were My Home

And it was the stupidest thing, really,
to have made my home inside a human.
He couldn’t keep me safe from myself
but god, how I wish that he could have.
Other people aren’t meant to be shelter,
they’re just broken windows and open doors.

I think it's something that people tend to do a lot, you know, like deciding one person is all they need? And then it doesn't work and you feel like you have lost everything.
