Send Me Chills

Send Me Chills

A Poem by Dreaming Summer
"

I love Autumn but it feels like it only last a few days. So i decided to write a love poem on how i feel about it leaving and how i always wait.

"
The wind against my fresh lips,
my sleeves cover my hands to keep them warm,
I wait for the bliss of your warm embrace.
no words could compare to the autumn wind,
you come to me every year,
and every year,
 I wait.
I wait because I want to feel the breeze,
the breeze that sends me chills,
and makes me huddle closer to my dearest love.
to watch the leaves fall,
and the children play with pink noses,
that makes me smile.
Soon when winter comes,
I'll call your name,
Oh Autumn,
why must you leave?
You leave me with a tender heart.
Only to be frozen by the winter winds.
So while you're here,
I'll use the chills you send me,
to huddle closer,
to my dearest love as we wait,
wait for next year,
for you to come,
and give me chills again.

I liked how you use the season of Autumn to make your point. Needing to know the feel of the chill that awake the heart. A good place to be. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
